Summer Offers Calm Seas and Lots of Variety
Report Date: July 9, 2015
Yes, it's been a while since my last report; and yes, we've been fishing. The month of June was a good month, but on occasion, we had to work really hard to catch fish for our customers. And on some other days we just had to put our bait out, and the bite was quick. On some trips we caught 5 to 6 different species from amberjack, tuna, mutton snapper, kingfish, mahi-mahi, cobia, almaco jack and big bonita - which is a good fight on light tackle. We also fished with some family and their kids - since school is out, it's the perfect time to bring your kids fishing. During the summer, the weather is usually nice and usually no wind, so the ocean is often flat calm and comfortable for the whole family. I'm looking forward to the month of July. Last year we caught a lot of sailfish which was one of the best summers I can remember for sailfish. We also had a lot of kingfish and some were very big so hopefully this year will be the same. We will always try very hard to put a smile on your face and make your trip a very good experience!
Good Luck & Tight Lines,
Capt. Mario Cote
