The Start Of The Season!
Report Date: December 31, 2012
December has been a wonderful month for a variety of fish. we started the month with fishing the inlet due to rough weather and managed to catch a couple of spanish mackerel, sheepshead, and keeper sized mutton snapper. As the weather improved during the month we decided to head east and captured nice size mahi's loads of blackfin tuna, skipjack tuna along with a nice sized wahoo, all of which were caught in water deeper then 250 ft. Fishing along the reefs allowed for beautiful sailfish, silky sharks, red groupers, and a nice 30" black grouper on a wreck. towards the end of the month the kingfish finally showed up and we've been seeing nice sizes, 20 pounders and more!
